There are literally millions and if those estimates are correct according to the news – that there are about 50 million window blinds and shades that are dangerous to children. In particular, Roman shade and roll up window blinds are named by the Consumer Products Safety Commission and the Window Covering Safety Council as dangerous and need to be recalled. These window blinds shades recalled are going to affect how consumers will buy their window treatments and coverings from this time on.
It pose danger to children because of the cord that is hanging and sometimes strangled small children. There are reports of death already from these type of window blinds and shades. So indeed it is necessary to recall these products and have them fix or make some adjustments to prevent any danger pose to children. Even pets get entangled with this particular products.
Do you know of any window blinds recalled before? This is the first time I heard that 50 million Roman shades recalled as they are dangerous window blinds shades.
The WCSC-Window Covering Safety Council has issued some safety instructions on how to handle the situation and do not panic as there are some solutions to this problem

This problem should have been look at or examined by the CWCS or whichever organization involve in this regard so that customers/people will carry the burden of dealing with deaths and recalls.
As far as 1994 to 2004 there were already signs of bad things to come, so they should have done something about! But I guess money and or profit comes first before something gets done to correct any defects or faulty stuffs with these window blinds products like the one mentioned; Roman Shade and Roll up blinds…
